It’s time to stop people pleasing & start boundary setting

We hear a lot about boundary setting, why it's important, and how to do it, but nobody really talks about how hard it is or how sometimes setting boundaries can even bring up feelings of shame  or guilt in some cultures or family systems.

The truth is, there is no one solution to boundary setting and it’s never really comfortable or easy. But, it's important! In the therapy space with me, what you will receive is insight into why boundary setting is hard for you, if your boundaries are truly in line with your values or just what we think others expect of us, what cultural and family systems are making it hard to set your boundaries, and how to be able to set workable boundaries in BIPOC families while taking into consideration and navigating  feelings of obligation, shame & guilt that show up.
